I Believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father, through Whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father; And He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of Life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke through the prophets. In one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come.
This is, of course, the creed which is held by most Christians - Orthodox, Catholic and Reformed. Our seminary is designed as a place of communication between Christians of diverse denominational backgrounds for the fostering of growth in dialog and unity with the common aim at arriving at the genuinely apostolic faith of the fathers of the church.
We believe that the Bible is the word of God and while we respect and revere the holy traditions of the church that Jesus Christ began, we understand that the faith of our fathers - the apostles, which was first handed to the saints (Jude 1:9) is the treasure we seek. As a result, the greatest weight of authority tradition can have is the Bible itself. Our central theme is unity defines as thos who partake of the chalice, recognize the family of saints, and believe in the resurrection.
We believe also that the church has fallen away from its original love of the truth and of its character as a community known as disciples by love. We understand that while the world continues to stand in need of hearing and receiving the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the modern church has lost its first love and stands in need of restoration and completion. We look at the apostasy of the church as existing in many places, not just in one major body of believers or another.
St. Michael Academy of Eschatology is both a seminary and a school which specializes in the study of the last things offering certifications and degrees. We believe that it is the place of the Elijah Ministry in these last days to restore the church back to its first love and original purpose for the completion of the good work which was started in the people of God by Christ Jesus. If you feel you have a place in the restoration of all things in the spirit of Elijah for the preparation of the church as loving bride, properly clothed in his Glory for the soon coming return of the Lord we recommend that you join us and fully participate in this challenging and exciting ministry!
